Shelters in Tijuana
A) Two are located a long walk east of the “river” on the hilly neighborhoods, which overlook downtown. One is for women and it houses about 25 residents, very clean and secure; right next door is a four story building only for men with impressive intake services, security and rules, and meals, etc. Both are called Casa Calabrini at this address:

Grupo Beta
Upon crossing, the group gives deportees pamphlets of information which includes a list of shelters in Tijuana and Mexicali. Grupo Beta has moved (temporarily?) from downtown Tijuana to Otay Mesa which is 9 miles from Tijuana border crossing.
 
Deported Migrant Shelters in Mexicali
A) Hotel del Migrante Deportado (for mostly men) is one mere block from the customs crossing. It is visible from the crossing, and the contact number is 686-209-6138. You can also email the shelter at sergiotamai@hotmail.com
 
B) There is a shelter for youth in one of the mid-class neighborhoods east of downtown (need a government referral at the customs crossing for this shelter).
